I really like this song and the mix came out quite well. I'm not sure if it's the Quicktime player or something else, but there was a phase/out of phase effect going on (listening through my headset) which was distracting. Otherwise, you did a very nice job on this!! (excellent lead guitar work too). ---- Thanks, Esoundz: Mesh |

hey, good stuff, glad you liked. rechecked here seems ok, don't know what it could be. |

Nice track, wavephonic. It's got an early '80s British prog feel about it, although I can't say that it sounds specifically like anything I'm familiar with. Nice work with the various guitar parts. I like the way they mesh together and drive the track along. Nice mix and no problems with phase issues here. (Win7/Chrome).
Good work |

that might be a good thing, but I use to be into al stewart year of the cat album, could be an influence from that with the acoustic foundation and atmospheric guitars over top, although miz always finds a bit of a dark slant. thanks for all the listens and comments |

I love this song! And I love the vocals. I do not think the vocals are mixed into the song very well at all though. The mix needs work but the song is amazing. I would sort of like to mix this song if you want someone else to do it. But I understand that is part of the creative process so what is "wrong" to someone else might not be for another. ---- my music: http://www.soundclick.com/alexcooper “Everybody is a genius. cool, glad I got to this before the big delete great music, really like the guitar tones and beats, great production except for the vocals getting a bit lost sometimes. There is some very nice guitar in here. |

oh not at all mate, you've pointed out exactly the problem I'm having with this one. I've been fairly minimal lately and this bigger production has me head scratching a bit. any suggestions or more precise advice are welcomed, the vocals need a bit more presence and clarifying, I'll work on it today. glad you like so far, and thankyou for pointing me. it would be nice to get another mix perspective also, if this wasn't so many friggin stems I'd consider it. |

ya, no vsti's were used this time out, I need a change of atmosphere in the work once in a while. yup, using mics and amps introduces a whole new world of hurt, but to me, much more satisfying if you can pull it off. maybe you liked the fuller mix, problem with that is, if you try to get the vocals up over that it becomes too crowded. some thinning had to be done in order to lift the vocal. I may make a tiny mix alteration before I put it away but this is basically what it'll be. certainly not everyones java. thanks for comin back around |
