As a Maschine owner, NI gave me Komplete Elements quite awhile ago. For whatever reason I never really checked it out. But I gotta say I'm really liking Photone. Especially for pads.
Anyone else? |

and in some respects it still surpasses Massive. particularly in the sound department.
and I don't know if I'm happy or sad about this. but yeah, another photone fan here. it can sound absolutely engrossing. |

Anyone else? +1! I am the Photone (and Carbon) fanboi. Posted this recently: http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=356187&postday s=0&postorder=asc&start=0 (and took some deserved crap for playing guess the synth). Hardly anyone discusses those two synths (I did a search once and found one of my old posts here  ) but I think they hold up very well. Great modulation possibilities, and Reaktor's engine is still as capable as all but some of the latest cutting-edge synths (I don't have to mention names  )
I've thought of skinning them at some point just for fun. At any rate, Photone does excel in the pad department. It (and Carbon) have an "icy" sound that I like. Glad to hear there are fans. It's foolish, but I think sometimes when an instrument or effect gets little use, you can get caught up in the "it must not be good even though I like it" bullsh*t (the converse is true for popular plugs of course). If Skryllex used Photone instead of FM8 we'd never hear the end of it.  |

I really like Photone 
It is a hidden gem waiting to be discovered by anybody who invests in Komplete Elements. Further sweetening the deal by including the full version of Spark in KE, that really is a no brainer deal by NI  |

Great instrument and super light on the cpu these days too! (There was a time when I thought I'd never say that of a reaktor instrument).
Love the comb filter. Lurker effect is amazing for that kind of sound too. ---- This is a block of text that can be added to posts you make. There is a 255 character limit. Once I have something clever, I will certainly fill it in. |
