Hey im trying to create a sound that is just in this track at 1.39
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5epfgeIlQvI its the mechanical style noise, kind of like a drill, at first i thought a saw with some fast pitch modulation on it, however here is my example (which is basically what i mentioned) i also put an envelope on the pitch to give it the bending charatistic it has but still nothing - http://www52.zippyshare.com/v/68723435/file.html i tried searching youtube but although there are a few screamer tutorials i couldnt get anything close to mine Thanks in advance!! Yeah hopefully! - Also, i love this track, i seen it rock 80,000 people at tomorrowland and really liked the track,
but am i right in saying it is very poorly mixed, in terms of distortion everywhere etc. i know this may be the sound they are going for, but it sounds like it has been ripped from a set, when infact it isnt Wondering if it is just me or anybody else noticed Cheers Mike ---- Anybody can do anything if they set their mind to it |

Aww well... It was worth a try to post here... I've been scouring YT and Google for and answer, but haven't heard anything that's properly close. In the meantime I've signed up on the [uk]dubstep forums. If I find anything useful I'll post back mate |

here's a video with something close to is... in Massive (which I don't have). It's a start though (having trouble getting it to embed here):
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=ABUTO Y1t6xg#! Another one... not quite, but it's a cool sound none the less... it's with Sylenth: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pOsLtGZBkfU |

There's a free mutant bank on cakewalk.com for z3ta+2 That has a patch that sounds quite similar.3nacanti Lazer. |

I've been wondering the same thing, occasionally tried to create a sound like that myself.
Isn't it just a high-pitch wobble? Can't make out if the filter cutoff is 'wobbling' really fast or terribly slow, but it sounds like just a high and distorted bass sound. EDIT: Also can't make out whether the screechy distortion is an effect over the whole frequency range, or just introduced by a really steep filter. Dunno. Experiment. Try jumping 3 or even 4 octaves higher from the note your wobble bass would play at the positions you want it to sound like that, and then experiement with the cutoff LFO. ---- TINY METAL IMPACT - UPDATE Mar 1st '13 - available for Kontakt 4.2+ I guess one could call lead poisoning an ironic death. |

Cheers Froqqer... I'll give it a go! Is that the Mutant Rebellion bank by Xenos? EDIT: Must be the Mutant Rebellion bank cause i can't find anything else that's got "Mutant" in it on the CW apart from that!? |
