Work in progress
I just watched this on netflix and the weird "theme" song got stuck in my head so i decided to exorcise it by doing a pastiche, still missing the horrified screams in the background and some really heavy delay feedback processed thru ringshifters and granulizer http://k003.kiwi6.com/hotlink/5k2tj4k59q/01_canadian_horror_ story_muzik_4_machines_the_next_one.mp3 Last edited by Muzik 4 Machines on Thu Nov 29, 2012 1:47 am; edited 3 times in total |

not enough room to add the badass feedbacks tho, ill just make another song to incorporate those i guess http://k003.kiwi6.com/hotlink/5k2tj4k59q/01_canadian_horror_ story_muzik_4_machines_the_next_one.mp3 FYI here's the song i was paying tribute to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CY_htwAmBOQ kind of massive attack having sex with aphex twins |

Verrrry cool. Me likey...I don't understand why no one's made a comment on this.....
...what are you using on this....upright bass and drums and FX compressors etc etc? ...perhaps it could use a break from the tonal center or something to give it a bit more variety....but... ...nice work man! |

thanks, it'S a work in progress so things are getting erased/replaces
as for what i used the drums are a built in live rack called something like uk vintage (sounds juste when the leevee breaks) with modified kick and snares (mostly layering with 909 and other electronic sounds) the upright bass and piano is from the ableton essentials sampled instruments, the upright bass and thegrand piano respectively they both play the same part, the piano being there just for texture they are both fed in the glue (for cohesion in clean mode mostly then a saturator in waveshaping mode and an overdrive followed by an auto filter and another overdrive(built ins)in a rack with a macro mapped to the mix of all distortion fx the intro "pad" with anvil like percussive attack is also a live built in preset called liek cinematic toms the electronic sound is also a live preset i dont remember the name the screams are a bunch of screams and crying and horror from freesound.org that's about it, it was "mastered" by using a multiband compressor just to have the levels hot then squashed with 2 L2's with a gentler thresholds on both instead of a violent one |
