Hi,
What kind of library lacks in the Camel audio offer? VA? No. Pads: No. Soundscapes, FX and cinematic stuff? NO NO NO! First, I' like sounds that can't be done with other synths, something original. The best example was "Dream Voices", always a top selling library. So the hard work done on this bank was rewarded. I would also like more sounds designed from scratch with the additive editor, because this is theoretically the best way to create sound in an almost molecular way. I mentioned in other posts a free synth from the Linux world, with fantastic additive sounds. May it inspire the Camel sound designers? I'm often disappointed with additive resynthesis. The algorithms are perfectible, and the result can be dull sound. Roll on Alchemy V2! The Shlomo Beatbox was surely a good and original idea, but it's not enough. With all this modulation capabilities, Alchemy could be a fantastic drum and percussion machine (example: loops and kits from the biolabs bank). It's surprising that except the new and very specific Slomo bank, there is nothing else in this domain. Raymond |

I would love to see more done with the human voice - singing and talking (but not beat boxing please)
There was a bank done for Cameleon with just the additive editor - it converts well to Alchemy but yes definitely that is an untapped area. ---- My free patches here http://fingermarks.co.uk/music2.htm My Soundcloud page: http://soundcloud.com/amused ![]() |
