Hey anyone know of any nice theremin patches in Alchemy, I've got a quite a few of their packs, and I've checked the audio demo's and still yet to find anything.

I don't recall any among the Alchemy libraries, but actually a Theremin preset shouldn't be too difficult to create with ALchemy's extremely comprehensive synth engine.

The main aspect that would need work is the user interface to let you extract the maximum amount of hand-throbbing expression from the preset to make it sound like a real theremin

If I get the chance over the next couple of days I'll have a go myself

I should mention, my attempts haven't been great. I remember a patch in Omnisphere called theremins journey, this one I lust for.I don't own Omni anymore, but I do own Alchemy. I just haven't found any and my skills aren't as good as the one I've heard in Omnisphere. Just curious if some of the pro's at this, have something close to that.

Are there any theremin patches in the commercial packs being sold by anyone?

I have all the banks sold by Camel plus most of the third party ones but a search of the database using "theremin" as a term brings up just one patch - it's called "Theremin" and is in the Cameleon library (I think these are converted CA500 patches). Doesn't sound that good though tbh - it would be neat if you could use the morphpad to modulate the pitch.

So there's a corner in the market for an enterprising SD

I just edited it to do that but I'm not sure I can send you it as it's probably locked to the Cameleon library keyfile still (unless you have that bank)

Thanks Amused, no I haven't purchased the camelon library.Thanks for the offer though.I'm hoping at some point I can nail the theremin patch, alike omni's.
