Hi everyone,

the first official Tone2 Rayblaster expansion/soundset called Futuron is finally released. Official links with audio demos and demo video:

The expansion/soundset includes 160 presets, 50 new wavefoms, 30 new samples and 3 new skins (White, Red and Vintage) for Rayblaster. The skins are shown in the video and as screenshots here: http://tone2.com/html/futuron.html

Those 160 presets include sounds from the categories Arp, Bass, Gate, Keys, Lead, Pad and Synth. A full list of the presets, waveforms and samples is shown here: http://tone2.com/html/futuron.html

For those mostly interested in pad sounds (besides those included in this one) there will be another soundset focused on that category soon (no date yet).

The Futuron soundset includes 26 presets and 50 new waveforms (49 created with DNR Wave Designer) from me.

I have created two audio demos myself. The first audio demo is new and uses 5 instances of Rayblaster and one instance of FXpansion Geist for the Drums:

Here is a second demo with a Remix of my demo for the factory sounds using only sounds from Futuron (mostly the ones used already above):

I'll try to post more audio demos soon. Currently i was working on presets for the next soundset that is focused on Pads/Atmospheres.

There are also e.g. 31 Pad sounds, 30 Lead sounds and 18 Keys sounds included with the Futuron presets. As already mentioned a list could be found at the product page.

several of the 50 new waveforms included with Futuron were not used for presets in the factory sounds or the Futuron soundset as several were created after the presets submission.
As the waveforms are saved with the presets the presets could also contain additional waveforms. In the file menu there is an option to export any of the 4 waveforms in a preset as WAV files.

Currently i am using the white skin included with Futuron. That one is easier on the eyes than it maybe looks.

just added this to my arsenal! will check it out over the weekend...but so far, so good. rayblaster is a keeper, and am happy to see new soundsets coming so soon..

Hi,

Rayblaster is very nice indeed and over time the results seem to get better.

The Futuron soundset is great and i am quite sure the Pads/Atmo soundset will be awesome. Those sounds are the strength of RB i guess.

Hi Igonator,
the soundset sounds very good butI think that it is made more for dance music.
Unfortunately I made music in the oldschool electronic style like Tangerine Dream and Klaus Schulze. For that reason I am more interested in sounds in that style. An "oldschool electronic" bank with impulses of Moogs, Arps, Oberheims and so on would be great for me. I would also like to have a recreation of your wonderful "Kiew" Preset that you make for the Waldorf Largo.
Is such a sound bank in planning?

first thanks for your reply.

If you listen to my own demos you will see that one is more Tangerine Dream style.

In fact the soundset like the factory sounds seems to fit to different music styles. There is also a list of the presets at the product page.
I think it's difficult to cover all different music styles in an official demo song. Anyway the official song is quite long and shows also different knds of sounds.

I had just posted a few demo of presets i made for Waves Element and now will try to do a few more demos for Futuron.

I have already submitted presets for the upcoming Atmosphere/Pads soundbank. Not sure when that will be released. Already posted a few audio examples at the "original" Rayblaster thread:
