is it me, or this guitar does sound amazing, with the exception of strummed chords, which sound horribly unrealistic? (now that i think of it, all virtual guitars usually suck at realistic strumming, which is why i don't own any of them)

Download the 1.91GB demo (AGG not the M)and make sure you have sure you have time to try it out. I did a few months ago and it was worth the effort. Just need to generate some funds for a purchase.
Note that they suggest that you use a downloader that can resume if connection is interrupted. It's a lengthy download but went without a hitch here.

I think these sample libraries listen to each others products because they keep getting more amazing.
This one is on my list to purchase.

As a note, if you don't have a melody, a real instrument or not isn't going to help at all.
The band Berlin and the song "You Take my Breath Away" doesn't use "real instruments" but that is one heck of a song.

The demos that I've played for my friends for the other guitar sample libraries I have, they said sounded amazing.

When they listen to the demos, they don't talk about what type of instrument (sampled or real) was played or did I use the compressor from WAVES and use the reverb from U-HE, etc...

You seriously think that people that listen to your songs/demos talk about that? Really? Shit!

no one listens to my songs, i don't have any Very Happy

this library definitely looks interesting but i wish there was a functional demo of it too. i don't do much acoustic, but sometimes i do need some acoustic strumming, and i was thinking of picking up something that would allow me to make realistic acoustic guitar chords - not for someone else's enjoyment, but for my own. i'd like to see if it's possible to make more realistic chord strikes with this library.

Since you are saying you specifically don't like the strumming audio demos Burillo, did you happen to try non sample based just for the heck of it with AAS strum?

i did. all synth guitars sound... err... synthetic to my ears. and most of the sample libraries, when it comes to strumming, as well. don't get me wrong - i already said this library sounds better than anything sample- and non-sample-based i've heard so far, it's just that it sounds amazing on anything except for strumming, which is what i am interested in the most.

i still have to check out that acoustic orange tree library...

I generally agree about strumming having a certain unrealistic quality to the sound, but I think it has a lot to do with how the tool is employed. Chords and notes and articulation without just the right nuance is simply going to sound 1-dimensional and fake.

"Return" is a good example of guitar strumming that just does not sound natural to my ears. My main gripe is strokes that should be left to ring out on top of the next stroke are sorta 1/2 or 3/4 muted, while other strokes that should be 100% muted are kinda 1/2 muted... so it's a very stilted, non-flowing sound. Not enough subtlety and variation, just a lot of same-soundedness. I know I wouldn't play that rhythm line like that on a real guitar...

The variation and dynamics in the rhythm track of "Dear Ben" is much much more natural sounding to my ears. That sounds like somebody strumming chords on a guitar. The chords flow one to the next with the right amount of sustain, release, soft/pickup stroke, "swing", etc. etc.

And "Rylynn" I think just sounds fantastic, considering the musical tool used to create it. Except for some very minor timing and nuance things, that sounds like a guitarist to my ears. And the quality of the samples shows through on that one as well, IMO. I mean you could keep tweaking that demo til the cows come home and have something that sounds 99.9% passable as a live performance, but the point is I think the sonic tools are there...

I might download that demo and give it a look see...

IIRC there's no demo for this library - only for AGG, which is a Gibson Les Paul.

I put the news here because AGM has its own ''sampler'' . You don't need an other software like Kontakt to use the softwares made by Amplesound.net

Question, the Strummer Engine/Interface is the same as the Electric one?
I'm asking because I'll probably download your trial for the electric just to get familiar with it.
