Hello all,
Been a little while since I posted here. This track "Sound Pool" was mostly created with my eurorack modular. I'm still teaching myself how to use this thing...as far as this track... A clock determines the sampling frequency (and song tempo) of a random voltage inside Pittsburgh Modular Toolbox. That randomly sampled voltage controls different parameters of the patch (1v/Octave of the Make Noise DPO, Fall time of the Make Noise Function, and cutoff frequency of a Doepfer A-120 Low Pass Filter. The random voltage for the pitch input was quantized by an Arduino quantizer via the Snazzy FX Ardcore. Recorded in three runs, interspersed with samples I recorded from a Moog Minitaur. Mostly its just synth weirdness....

Or on Soundcloud;

Also, I this is one of my other newer tracks... hard to describe;

If you listen, I hope you enjoy!
Steven.

Thanks for listening
@Polyslax: I have been "bonding" with my modular. It's a love / hate relationship. My ears like it, but my wallet hates it.
I still don't have a proper sequencer for it yet..Ive been using a USB to Midi converter to sequence from my computer, but I'd like to start doing some sequencing without having to turn on my computer. So I want to get one.. and I also want a low pass gate.. and I want a wogglebug... and I want... omg its a freaking black hole.
But it sure is fun

I love the melodic mangling going on in Sound Pool. There is a synth on there sounds like a trombone being strangled during a brownout. I enjoyed everything else on here too.
Good work

Sound Pool is a good title. Love that kind of jazzy trombone sound, and the way it opens out on some of the low notes, really cool lines.

I liked the 2nd track the best, though both are good. Something about the weirdness factor of modular sounds puts a smile on my face.
