Hello, I am DJ Obi. Check out my soundcloud here:

I am looking for a certain bass synth/sound. The sound that I want is for a progressive house track that I am working on. I am having troubles finding this bassline/synth. I have looked everywhere! xD
Anyways... Here is an example of what I was thinking. The drop to this song

Thanx to anyone that may be able to help

Anything with a square sub oscillator and a sawtooth lfo can make this sound.

Okay so I use FL Studio 11. Would 3xOSC work? If so, how would I program this?Uncle E wrote:Anything with a square sub oscillator and a sawtooth lfo can make this sound.
I'm new to programming sounds sorry.
Also, on the piano roll, where would I need to place the notes? I'm guessing right after the kick. Or on the kick but with a sharp sidechain.

3xOSC should work. Set a square sub oscillator, a couple sawtooth oscillators (one detuned) an octave above the sub, and set a tempo synced quarter note lfo to volume. Use something like the Kickstart plugin if 3xOSC can't assign its lfo's to volume. This isn't done with a side chain, you can tell because the bass does this even when there's no kick. You can place the notes on beat, though keep in mind that there are some syncopated notes in there.DJObi wrote:Okay so I use FL Studio 11. Would 3xOSC work? If so, how would I program this?
