Hi,
I'm interested in the Muse Receptor VIP and would like to know if it can do the following --- I know I can use Receptor as an FX device by plugging a guitar into the audio input and routing the audio to an FX plugin, but what I want to do is play a softsynth in Receptor and route the softsynth's output to an effect in Receptor, IE Rammfire, and play the softsynth with the effect on it in real time. Can Receptor do this?

Thanks in advance, GG

Receptor's GUI is vaguely similar to a DAW or mixer channels view. When you add a soft synth to a channel, you have multiple bins available to add FX VSTs, that the plugin instrument passes through.

Apologies, I'm working with the old version:

Shows three FX bins for each instrument channel.

I'm not sure how the new version 2 GUI works (can't upgrade my unit) but I doubt they've removed FX options. It looks like a rack style setup:

The receptor rack mode has 2 sends that you can use for adding further effects to both audio and synth channels. It works amazingly doing the setup you are asking about. I will generally use my receptor to run my acoustic guitar through guitar rig and a play number of VST's-mostly kontakt, each with their own effects presets, then set up a sends for reverbs and a master limiter.
