This sounds more depressive than a day at the cemetery...
But it fits well together!

As usual, you have chosen some wonderful synth sounds. The percussion is a good fit. I think this would definitely be suitable for soundtrack use. I enjoyed some of the little tricks you did with the timing of the bass on here. I'd take this over a trip to the cemetery any day.
Good work

This isn't depressing at all. It's reflective(?). It's also quite energetic when the percussion kicks in. I found no problem with the end of the percussion, personally. Percussion need not end on a punctuation. As is, it's left open ended and that gives it a little extra suspense. I'm kind of accustomed to abruptness in song endings, myself
Nice sounds used here. I agree that this could be soundtrack material. I envisioned an expansive scene of exploration in my head... Or, per the title, return from a difficult and long journey.

Your spot on also with your vision as I had the movie "Gravity" in mind as the theme.
Cheers for listening.
