I'm NHJO HYENNRO from W/RUSSIA/KOREA/ETC.

imho, they're...different. both have their strengths (and both have too much treble in the mix...). never used vanguard, tho...and sylenth1 is still amazing...

Sylenth is a digital oriented synth. I don't think it sounds analog at all. It is also weak in the low end.

For a softsynth that does a good job of emulating real analog bass, try Monark

i would call those tb303 acid sounds as there is no analog bass sound about them

Vanguard is as digital as possible. In fact waveforms are hard-synced and fall apart completely if you apply noticeable phase shift, for example with filter. Nothing like that would ever happen to analog, free-running oscillators.
