Heyyyyyyy guyyyyyyyss
I am probably going to buy a second hand Roland alpha juno and I was wandering which one is the best one to get??
I don't mind how many keys it has but I want hoover noise and other rave sounds cos I'm producing 90s British rave...
I would prefer it to be cheap as possible where should I buy it?? Online??
Cheers Harry!!

Cheap as possible? Then maybe try the free VST phutura, which is simulating a Juno.

ReDominator is unbeatable for the emulation of the Alpha Juno. Huge quality!
And it comes with 470 presets.
And it is provided in VST 32-bit, VST 64-Bit, VST/AU for OSX (10.7+), and Re for Reason.

) I -think- the guy is asking for the best place to buy the actual hardware machine
There's no real difference between the two, except of course for the keyboard. Just make sure the display and all buttons are functioning. I would definitely pick one up myself instead of ordering online, they're old, you'll want to see what state it's in. And they're not that uncommon so you're not stuck with eBay.

Yes that would be my guess to but for the sounds he is asking for i would rather go for REdominator since it has them in spades + sysex import from the real thing.BDeep wrote:) I -think- the guy is asking for the best place to buy the actual hardware machine

I had a Juno 2 once upon a time. Fantastic piece of kit and I wish I'd never sold it. Not sure what the differences between the 1 and 2 are/were, though. Never heard of REDominator, but if it will do the Juno 2, I think I'll go check that out; thanks for that tip!

For the differences, see
http://www.vintagesynth.com/roland/ajuno2.php.
Basically it is the same synth.

The difference between the juno-1 and juno-2 is in the keyboard on the j-2 has a 61 note velocity and aftertouch sensitive keyboard, plus a cartridge facility. And some MIDI enhancements.
