Just wondering (and I may be talking nonsense) ....
I see that some developers are releasing VST3 plug-ins but not VST2 plug-ins.
Would there be any value in a VST2 plug-in that wraps ("bridges"?) the VST3 plug-in, so that users can run those VST3 plug-ins in their DAWs that support VST2? Of course the additional functionality in VST3 would not be available.
As a related question: can someone point me at a concise list / description of the additional functionality offered by VST3? I've searched but only found programming-level info (other than this, from 8 years ago:
http://www.kvraudio.com/news/steinberg_ ... _vst3_5933
whichmay or may not have been implemented)

I made such a program. Quite useful, also for hosts like ableton live that doesn't support vst3 - or logic, that doesn't support vsts (it can be hosted as a variety of types, and host the same variety of types).

Hmm, so there is some value in such a plug-in, but not much interest.
