Particle Ray - Vzlet! EP Preview Mix

Hi guys,

After taking a few years away from making electronic music I got the itch back earlier this year. I decided to go big and do a concept EP based on the Soviet side of the space race under a new Moniker and start fresh from my no name mp3.com and soundclick days. I just finished up a preview video mixing the main tracks together and i thought I'd share it.

It's certainly original sounding. You avoided thumping four on the floor kicks. Instead things are off beat, surprising, and sometimes difficult. There are some nice retro electronic drum sounds which are appropriate for Sputnik - retro technology.

This is very loop based music. Loops are stacked on top of other loops. New loops are added, old loops are muted. This style of music making doesn't appeal to me much but I'm old fashioned.

Thanks for checking it out. I'm a sucker for layering and playing with combinations of loops and seeing where it goes. I'm also a sucker for using 32nd notes to push poly rhythms a bit further.
