So far Satin 1.2 is killing me, are there others, perhaps just tape flange w/o all of the excessive delays and saturation extras...?

Thanks

There is Audio Damage Liquid. This is my favorite for through-zero flange.

I bought it since it was only 29 USD, but it can't do Tape Flange as well as Satin.
Lacks the MIDI support/features, and Parameters associating it with a real tape emulation.
But nice depth and resonance and will find a use on an EPiano maybe.

Thanks.

Any other takers out there, and hopefully a developer with downloadable demos.

Thanks

Well after trying a few and even getting a great Modular patch, I ended up buying Audio Damage Liquid, it's a nice Flange but Satin 1.2 was 4 times more expensive but worth every penny.
That plug in gets it right, and so much more.

I particularly like it when a company has demo's to try before you buy.
To me, getting the proper effect right is worth every penny.

The free MFlanger is also great.

Audio Damage will give you a refund if you do not like the plugin. Look here.

Sknote Roundtone is a decent tape emulator that does flange too
Amazon: why not use an alternative

+1 for MFlanger, I use it almost everywhere.
Anechoic Chamber Screaming :o

It doesn't try to emulate a true tape flanger, but the flange effect is still one of the best (imo) : UHBIK-F.

You can also get some very good (and weird) flange effects with UberMod.

If you want a true tape flanger, like you hear in Jimi Hendrix's Axis: Bold as Love, and you're looking for authenticity, then just like you've already discovered Satin is your best bet. A good tape flanger, needs to start with a tape emulation. It's part of the sound that makes tape flanging sound different than stomp box or effect box flanging.

I don't own Satin, but based off my time demoing it, the flange effects were the best I've heard in plugin form.

I don't know any better than Satin.

I also like MFlanger, but i wouldn't consider it a "tape flanger", but a flanger with a great sound.

Same here, huge Satin fan.

Not sure how efficient that is. My fan is made of hard plastic and does a pretty good job.
