Is there any hope of the source code archive's timestamp/datestamp getting fixed so that new comments aren't listed as having been made 31/12/69? It would also be nice to be able to have a "Show most recent comments" option -- though I wonder if that would just generally turn up Mr. news-912[AT]hotmail.com. (good think the script protects news-912's email address from spammers' naive email collectors!)

Still a great resource, though.

you're the first one to comment on the wrong dates, believe it or not (it's been wrong like that since the start).
I fixed the problem and also "order by date" now.

if I get more trouble like that, I'll probably use the same system for the comments as the archive items. (i.e. moderator-based, where I say "ok, this is cool, let's put it on the site). Otherwise I'll have to add IP checken and whatnot to it... *sigh*

The music cafe forum isn't a company either and it got its own place.

Because the MusicDSP forum was about DSP for music software purposes (amazingly), which is part of what this forum is about. It would be silly to add another for exactly the same topic.

maybe I should ask Ben to rename it and make sure it says "audio development" or "musicdsp" in it too..

In other words, it did get its own place, just not where you seemingly think it should be. And I already told you why that 'place' shouldnt be with the company forums; because musicdsp.org isnt a company.
