What i just wrote in the 'Helix 64bit for Mac' thread made me wonder:

How old is your oldest software synthesizer which sounds so good to you that you dont feel any need at all to replace it with something newer?

Curious how far back this will go, and if we can see some kind of 'cutoff-point'...

For me I use synth1 and zebra cm which have been around a long time.

Yes, but they have both had updates not very long ago.

(And i assume you are referring to the latest versions here.)

What i meant though was the oldest version or 'build' if you will, like Synthesizer-X from the Year-Y.

If you add the products age, it will be easier to see where the cutoff-point is, i.e. the point where the quality was good enough that people still consider it sufficient today.

Zebra, and also up until recently Oddity, though that has been blown out of the water by Oddity 2.

Age of your oldest softsynth that is still good enough for you.
