Garageband thinks my Amplesound Guitar plug-ins are not registered but they are

I have just bought and registered a full set of Amplesound guitar instruments and tried to use them in Garageband and it thinks it is now a lapsed demo version even though I have fully registered the products.
It then takes me to an Ample Sound Activation dialog box and when I put in my user name and password (updated today to make sure) it simply tells me 'Cannot find misc file' and refuses to go on.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Is this an incompatibility with Garageband 10.0.3?
