Hey everyone - I just stumbled upon this library of drum samples from Darren King (the drummer from Mute Math):

https://www.iwantthatsound.com/product/ ... ing-drums/ (https://www.iwantthatsound.com/product/darren-king-drums/)

The drums are overtly processed and the library seems to be a mix of loops and single hit samples. I don't have a ton of drum library experience (I mostly use Abbey Road drums), but this seems like a unique alternative to other sample libraries out there.

Anyway, I'm interested in buying the library, but there's no demo available and I can't find any reviews of it online. Actually, I can't find much discussion at all about the library or the company behind it (That Sound).

Does anyone have any experience using this library or other libraries by That Sound? I really like how these drums sound, but my concern is that the demos posted on their site might feature the loops (which I'm not interested in) more than the single hits, so I wonder how realistic it sounds when only the hits are employed. It seems like there are lot of velocity layers and round-robin hits available, but I'd like to hear some sort of feedback about the library before spending the money on it.

I have not been happy with That Sound's offerings. The variety is limited, and the main guy with TS was pretty rude to me in an email exchange. I've bought 2 packs off them. I really love the sound of the Darren King pack (from what I've heard) but I'm hesitant because of my issues in the past.
