I think for users is it a bargain upgrade
But if you need a physical modelling guitar, check the demo

didn't think i would have time to demo, but it seems the offer stands for another month
it looks very playable. not overly convinced by the sound, but then this is the same for most instruments when over-played. luckily the guy in the video managed to show quite a lot of dynamics.

I hate the auto chords thing, I would prefer to just to play it freely and choose for myself what chords or sequences of notes I play

I don't want that, I want to play it myself like a real guitar, not have it tell me what to play. It has a nice sound but interferes too much and if you turn off the auto feature it doesn't do anything.

i doubt i'd ever go near the strummed loops, but the articulations and strum patterns in 'guitar' mode could be very useful. 'keyboard' mode looks to be where i'd spend most of the time (and you, it would seem)aMUSEd wrote:I hate the auto chords thing, I would prefer to just to play it freely and choose for myself what chords or sequences of notes I play

It doesn't seem that anything new added sound wise. No finger or fret noises to add realism etc. it sounds exactly like V1, only wrapped up differently. I'm not going to upgrade, but even if I did, I wouldn't put it in the front of any mix.

You can use "Keyboard" mode (0'20" - 1'20" in this video):aMUSEd wrote:I don't want that, I want to play it myself like a real guitar, not have it tell me what to play. It has a nice sound but interferes too much and if you turn off the auto feature it doesn't do anything.

29$ for existing users... a steal and finally 64bit native. Blind buy.
Yes, as some mentioned, it's not 100% realistic. Definitely not made where the guitar stands in the front, nor for solos. But for some cool funky rhythmic strums in the background? Absolutely great.

Yeah I like the sound and look of this update. Glad it's 64bit now too... They took their time on this one.

it seems like a theme for this company. when i used to own their 'ultra analog', it used to get abbreviated (in logic's channelstrips) to 'ultra anal'damoog wrote:What is ass strum...i new way to play music with your arse?
