How does one make kicks that shake like earthquakes? For instance:

I've tried various amps, stereo delays etc. but it all ends up sounding pretty wack:

Thanks!

You're using the wrong type of kick to start with.
The example you gave is much more of an acoustic kick, possibly even a Tom Drum filtered down a little.
The three main components are the drum, the sub and the reverb.
Try a 'real' kick or tom drum, with the high end filtered off and a medium hall verb and a big deepish sub underneath (this can come from and another kick filtered down even further, or a synth generating a basic sine kick).

Sound Engineer / Musician / Producer......but I'm always learning.

Not even sure why you would want a kick to sound like that in the first place lol. Not exactly what I would consider a stellar production..

For earthquake kicks I'd recommend looking up:
(a) Waves Audio - RBass
(b) Waves Audio - LoAir
(c) Waves Audio - MaxxBass
(d) reFUSE Software - Lowender
