Lissajous is here!
Audiobulb is extremely excited to announce the release of Sineraw's amazing new audio visual software generator.
Info on the software including a demonstration video and a link to the PDF manual can be found here:
http://www.audiobulb.com/create/Lissajous/Lissajous.htm
Lissajous is a complex audio/video signal generator built in Max/MSP and inspired by the work of Jules Antoine Lissajous.
The media project is born with the purpose of investigating the relationship between sound and vision, chaos and order, closely related to astronomy, mathematics & physics. It explores the field of harmony and disorder and let the user dip into an elegant, dreamlike, minimalistic yet chaotic space which reflects the complex rules of the universe in all its abstract beauty.
The software shows sound oscillations as XY matrix functions and creates complex graphics curves. Lissajous graphically describes sound and allow observation of constantly varying signal voltage of two audio signals as function of time. Video generated by sound can be controlled in endless ways by giving to the user the possibility of a whole-new range of interactions.
Operating system: Mac computer (not ipad or iphone).
Now also available for PC Windows as of 2nd July 2015

What are the video specs for recording - resolution, media type, etc?

Sounds fantastic! I definitely see lot of sonic potential with that one…
Nonetheless, it’s your business of course and you do whatever you want with it but since it’s been built in Max/MSP, I think you should think about launching it as a Max For Live device as well! That would be really great to be able to use it in a Live session. I know that lot of people don’t enjoy working in standalone programs, bounce, reopen in a DAW, rework and resculpt the sound via plugins, etc… Pretty sure you gonna miss some sales because of that.
But anyway, good work guys I’ll definitely grab it and experiment with it. Looks and sounds amazing

Bought it.
Very nice, and unique tool. It really can create chaotic, distorted sounds.
But how can I record just sounds with it? If I hit rec, it records a movie (.mov). How can I bounce the audio I create with it without having to bounce the visuals as well?

Hi Guys
Sorry we don't have that feature - this is an audiovisual software module you can record both but not one stream.
You can use a audio extraction tool to get your audio though... http://audio-extractor.net/

I understand the idea behind it.room wrote:Hi Guys

Could it be an added feature for an upcoming update then? I still think it could be clever to have a ‘rec audio only’ function, for audio artists & sound designers not really caring that much for visuals. No?
