Anything like Camelspace for guitar rhythm gated FX?

I sold my copy of Camelspace this spring, and regret it badly. But now it's apparently impossible to find anywhere. So until Apple releases it as a Logic FX, I'm on my own.

I am looking for that particular "shimmering"/gated sound which gives me rhythmic pad-like effects when playing guitar. Listen to the guitar in this track for an example (it's an old track I posted in the Music cafe contest years ago):

(the sound I'm looking for comes in around 10 seconds)

Since I'm a preset guy at heart I struggle to recreate something like it.

I'm looking for alternative plugins or even tutorials which would help me learn how to create the effect.

I use Logic Pro X.

Any advice is very welcome!!!

add a great free reverb like this http://tal-software.com/products/tal-reverb-4 and you're almost set :tu: maybe use logic's delay designer/stereo delay to get some more motion going on

EDIT: you could of course also use logic's great space designer instead of the tal reverb - lots of presets, plus great convolution sounds, yet not so simple and straight forward like the tal reverb

+1 :tu: I was using this for that very purpose just yesterday.

I downloaded it last night but didn't manage to make it sound like I wanted. Any advice on settings etc?

I was just about to endorse Tantra too.
I would start with some of the PAD and SEQ presets and tinker from there.

Yep Tantra has replaced Camelspace for me and it goes a lot deeper as well. :tu:

Not being too much of a stickler when it comes to my guitar tone, Guitar Rig is my main tool. You can use it's step sequencer for rhythmic gating, or really any kind of rhythmic effect you want. It's quite powerful in that respect.

Also, another vote for Tantra.

Guitar rig can do all that. And other more guitar specific stuff besides. Also effectrix, glitch, MRythmizer, and others.

audio damage big seq is very versatile too actually.

Audio Damage Big Seq 2 is pretty good, especially when you get into programming your own presets (the included presets aren't that good imo). Tantra has the most hifi sound of all the rhythmic multi fx out there, although Psp N20 gets pretty close in terms of quality. Although N20 is not as geared to rhythmic sounds as Tantra, most of it's sounds have a rhythmic character. It also allows for greater variation in terms of programming, routing signals, and a more comprehensive mod matrix. I haven't programmed that many patches for Tantra but it has a particular sound that it imparts and there is not as much tonal/textural variation as N20. That being said, even though it is not as varied as N20, the sound it produces is second to none. I use it a lot and it's more like CamelSpace than N20 is. Also, while N20 is capable of a lot more sonic variety than Tantra, it is significantly more complex to program, with a steeper learning curve and also quite a bit more expensive.

Reflex pro 2 is also worth a look at for this sort of thing.
