There's quite some bragging on Zebra's website... There are feature descriptions, statements from famous/cool artists, demo songs etc.

Which areas do you think are most convincing?

(and if you think it is none, please say why)

Thanks,

Wink Urs

Yeah!

Next year you gotta meet the whole gang... Greg and the Ohmies, the Bens (KvR, Camel), Chris + Dave, Putte + Mullberti, Skot + Angus + and the FXpanders, the AU Dudes... just all of them... we have a lot of fun and even more beer... the more the better, and you should see the faces of the waiters when we enter a bar Very Happy

It's hard to choose one Urs..

I picked feature outline (because the modulation, etc. possibilities are right up my street) but what really convinced me was having played it on a friends computer.. I almost considered buying a cheap Mac for it because I didn't expect a PC version soon at all Wink

I'm hurting. So much pent up anticipation. For once I'm even sad that I don't know any mac users... Shit!

Other: MFM, Urs himself

BTW, Urs, I had a dream the other night that I met you. I pointed you out to my sister at a bar or something. I don't recall much else about it. The memory was triggered by the fact that my vote and decision were made based not only on your work that I'm familiar with but also how much I've liked your personality that comes through in your posts.

TBH, I was sold on Zoyd's sounds. I'm just assuming that Zebra will be good, too! Wink

I came on this forum and registered BECAUSE of Zebra!
As I voted "others" and there seems to be no other space, I'll "specify why" here:

I downloaded the demo and practically spent an afternoon going through the presets. I was so impressed with the totally analog, vintage-synth sound AND spirit of what came out of my speakers! This has been done by people who've lived the age of glorious big, fat hardware synths, and my, have they done a marvellous job!

I have Logic Pro 6 with all the stuff... but I might give in to the utter pleasure I had playing this beast (I haven't even started investigating the other features, except the graphic XY controllers who are absolutely gorgeous too... Surprised ).

I think u-he should hurry to make a Windows version, or they'll be loosing huge numbers of potential customers...

I LOVE and respect the guys who worked on this marvel! Cool

I always have to try the demo for quite a while and totally scope everything out. I can only buy a few things. I don't pirate music software, and the only major music music software I have is Reason and Live.

I'm thinking of replacing Reason as my major synth with VSTi's. Zebra looks like it could fit part of the the bill. I just need to also find a replacement for the NN-XT sampler that doesn't cost an arm & a leg.

So, to sum up, making the demo as easily obtainable and useable as possible.

Also, when you buy software, it's like you're on constant upgrade subscription if you really keep using it. Reason ~$150/Year, Live ~$150/Year, Mac OS ~$130/Year, Zebra?

I worked at a grocery store last year, so....

So lower upgrade prices are appreciated! Smile

Uhm, the upgrade price from version 1.0 to version 1.5 was the infamous amount of 0 (zero) Dollars...

btw. with Live 4 you do not necessarily need a sampler anymore... there's one built in...
