No no....not the Lazer Harp sound again (as most of you already know it can be found in the Minisyn'X ).

It's another sound from this excellent LP (RendeZ-Vous) I'm interested in. The very first sound you hear on the opening track.

Any idea by what that sound was generated?

Is there any preset to any softsynth that sounds like that?

I'm pretty sure it's possible to re-create that amazing sound with Syn'X 2 and/or MiniSyn'X. Becase I think I think the sound was made by the ELKA Synthix . However, it's rather huge So I guess there are some effects added to it.

I guess this is some sample pitched several octaves down and thickened with the usual delay/reverb etc.

Yes, it's that growing sound at the beginning of the LP.

From what I've seen there's a Fairlight used on this LP. So a sampled sound could very much be it.
It's very..hm....cinematic. I love that sound. I guess the easiest way to get it is by just sample it. However I don't think that's alright with copy right et cetera...

Hmmm I also think it might have been made with the Synthex, maybe double Chorus mode on Synthex, and ... another effect added ( Smallstone, chorused reverb, whatever )
