I've put up a beta build for version 2.4.2.
This build adds a fix for the reported Plouge bidule crashes, and also contains a fix for dead locks when saving in FL studio 12.

Hi Calle!

Fantastic! I've just tried it out, and FL 12.2 no longer crashes :D I just finished a full hour of work without a single crash. Thank you very much for putting in the effort.

One thing: After adding a new program to the list and putting some samples in it, on save the save dialogue wouldn't go away and stayed on top. No way to make it go, it didn't respond to the 'abort' button.

This did NOT interfere with FL or TX in any way afterwards though. I can use FL and TX normally even with the save dialogue open. I could program TX, create a pattern in FL, save everything, also save TX program and so on with that same save dialogue still open. Like the save proces was finished but didn't get to close the dialogue.

This happened only once, after about 45 minutes of working. Before that, on other saves, I saw dialogue windows pop-up and also be closed.

This is at most a nuisance, but I can still go on working, nothing crashes and everything can be operated as normal. On closing of FL, the save dialogue closed with it. As you can see in the screenshot, FL is still happily playing while the dialogue is open.

[EDIT]It happened a few times more, but it seems closing and opening the TX interface also closes the dialogue window. After that I can just work on as normal, so the initial behaviour is solved.[/EDIT]

I believe Image-Line has contacted you now as well? I had opened a topic on their forum to inform them of a possible bug in FL, according to your statement. Perhaps FL can iron out the issue on their side.

Fwiw, I cannot reproduce any drag errors or problems resolving stuff using Bitwig on OSX 10.9. I could however see exactly the problem I was worried about with the 2.4.2 beta workaround for FL studio 12, namely problems disposing the loading screen on OSX (due to message loops working slightly differently).

To remedy this, I've done a different workaround for FL12 and reverted the previous one for OSX, which makes BWS run smoothly at least for me (sidenote: make sure to _not_ enable "save all waves in fxb" as BWS saves full plug-in state at intervals (undo?), which with lots of samples loaded makes the plug borderline unusable). In 10.9. As for ElCapitan (Seriously, osx sucks more and more the less its named for kittys!), I could not test it yet.

I've uploaded a new build of 2.4.2 beta. Mc UB, could you check if this still works in FL12 for you? (It should, and hopefully more stable). I'd like some more verification of this before I graduate it to stable.

Hello Calle,

YES!! It's running, and it's definitely more stable. Did you have contact with Image-Line? They said they would contact you. They could reproduce the issue, and I think they are willing to see if it can be solved on their end as well?

The last issue I mentioned in my last post above, save-windows not closing, has also been solved now. I just did a two hour session without any hitch whatsoever. [EDIT]Make that 5 hours, many, many saves, no problems. I'ld say it IS stable[/EDIT]

To give it a real proper test, I'm currently creating a track with only TX16Wx and a vocal sample or two. I'm running 8 channels in 1 instance at the moment, with various modulations, host-automations via parameters in the mod-matrix (great system!) and 5 send FX. Drums (with a few wave-matrixes), bass, lead and short sfx are all in TX. I'm running out of outputs, so I'll probably be adding another TX. When I'm done I'll post it in the Cwitec forum :-)

It's all running very smooth, with a surprisingly low CPU hit. I'm on an Core i3, not the best, and my CPU hit in FL is about 24%. In a project the size as it is now, I would normally be well over 50/60% with VST's.

Little annoyance: the contrast between a selected and an unselected slot is not very big, and after a while I have trouble spotting it sometimes. Is it possible to edit this myself somewhere? Which file in the skin folder would that be? Or is it in the .skin 'css' file? I'm comfortable editing that, but unsure which 'css selector' I would have to edit.

Little question: There's various places to save things. Is 'Save program' a kind of 'master-save' that saves everything? Before I saved everything individually, but that quickly became too much clicking :-)

So far no complaints anymore, it's all roses :D
