Put this together over the last couple of nights.
My signature poor drums won't disappoint.

Arp, pads. My sort of stuff.

Would appreciate feedback on the feel of the track. It's only short and needs to be developed.
It's just a few hours of messing.
Came about after posting a couple of midi arp patterns yesterday.
I use a couple of vst's for the arps and in a moment of clarity, realised I could send the midi to another track and record the patterns. This will be fun, going forward.

This is the result of spending a little time playing with and recording my nonsense.
No effects and just a rough guide for drums.

If anybody could suggest how to approach the drums, it would be appreciated.
I mean in terms of pattern.
If you have the time and inclination, I'd really appreciate it if someone would be kind enough to chuck a midi pattern together for me to look at.

Thanks.

A good beginning. I think it needs some bass. This mix is better than the last one.

Have you tried playing drums on keyboards or drumpads? That what I usually do.

Post

Can't do that at the moment.
Just using my drum vst coupled with megababy in Reaper.
My Novation Impulse got damaged and I'll be without a controller until I get a Panorama P4 in the next few weeks.

Bit of a pain just using the PC keyboard right now but that hasn't prevented me knocking out the nonsense :)

Actually, I do have a piece of kit here at the moment that should do the job, if I knew how to use it.
A friend came round with his Korg electribe and that has 16 pads.
It's been sat in the box unused for a couple of weeks.

Well, got this electribe plugged in but have no idea how to set it up.
Looking at a few videos but can't use the pads to trigger anything.

** sorted. Set up and working. Now on to programming the bugger.

*** sod that. Not a fan of this piece of kit.
