Hi,

I have Zebra 1.5, running mainly in DP 4.12, and I have intermittent distortion of the playback. It plays back all the wrong notes. If I re-open the file, it is usually ok. It has happened when freezing a track as well.

I have also had occasional crashes when Zebra is being used.

Anyone else experienced this.

if it plays back the wrong notes... sounds like demo mode.

I assume you got a new machine or a new operating system... please re-enter the codes (I'll re-send your codes, in case you lost them).

If you experience crashes, please send Crashlogs to me privately.

Is anyone else getting issues with the Pull Down menu in Zeba 1.5 in DP4 when accessing the features of the Multi-Stage/Step Seq? I also have the same issue with MFM. I'm guessing it's MOTU's fault, but wanted to know if anyone else was aware of it.

What exactly happens / does not happen there?

I get a flash of the pull down menu, but then it dissappears. No time to choose anything. Ditto for the Tempo Time increments in MFM.

Oh ha...

I had something similar when my mouse went nuts. Really strange, and it happened right during Musikmesse, of course. It somehow started sending double clicks...

Do you have a multibutton mouse? - Then please check if right-click and ctrl-click act differently.

Or maybe you have another mouse around to compare behaviour.

If that doesn't help, I'll ping MotU, because Zebra uses all legal Carbon methods. During the past 6 months, my CAUGui graphics framework went from mostly-hacked to perfectly-specs-compliant. It should work within every environment that does not play dirty tricks on X...

I'm definetly getting repeatability with Right-Click/Control Click, and also used another mouse. I get the pull down menu for a quick second, then it's gone.

damn, I'll ping MotU about it. Never heard that before.

Can you provide me with a list of pop ups where it works/does not work?

Is it only the ones that go on right-click?

What about the contextual menu for XY-controls?

Do the other pop ups (Waveform, Modulators) work?

What about the hierarchical menues, i.e. in the ModMatrix?

Ok, I'm just gonna go down the list and test these things out:

It seems to only be the right clicky ones, as most normal operation is fine (preset loading, waveforms, filter types, adding modules aka command click, etc....)

1) Over XY Grid - (IE Midi Learn X, Cutoff/Resonance)
-I can sometimes quickly sneak down to one of the presets, but I wouldn't say it's working.

2) Mutli-Stage / Step Sequencer - same issue.

MFM - Only the delay time presets (1/16, 1/4, etc...)

I can't easily test out Midi Learn of a parameter, don't have any real external controllers.

Okay, thanks, I think it's the right-click thing then.

I'll forward a link to this thread to MotU and ask for specific advice.
