Hello,
I uploaded new song on YouTube.
Captured a sound from cheap old computer into sampler (Casio FZ20M).
Really an old-school sound that I'm loving so much.
I think it's definitely "retro" electro. Haha.
By the way, 100% OTB. I don't use DAW same as previous music.

Hope you'll like it.
Thanks!

love it
And thank you! you just reenforce my belief that one does not need
serum, dune2, or any bloated sample based plugins to make great electronic music.
just good mixing and mastering, and composition skills. Which are excellent on this, BTW.
cool song as well!

I used to use DAW and plugins before, but I realized that outboards are very suitable to me than any of PC based environment.
It's really fun to compose, play and mix with hardware gears.
I know I can't catch up the state-of-the-art PC world anymore.
Thanks for listening!Zexila wrote:Nice one.

Next time (maybe) consider turning up for that lovely played fretless bass
Cheers

Well, it's brilliant. So open sounding. Under control but not suffocating from compression. Punchy. Cool Tune.
Bass around the 3:14 mark. I'd reduce the lows just a smidgen with a shelf.
It's great though.

Nice bass sound. reminded me of the sound, bassist great Victor Bailey once had as well...R.I.P.
Your playing and composition is mostly rudimentary, but you seem to have all this pro equipment. I can't say I hear it in the song. Is that equipment yours? I don't see any in the B&W shots of you playing...why is that?

I'll care about the low frequency.

By the way, my camcorder isn't great at low lighting room... so many color noises so I reduced that color then it's almost b&w. haha.
Thanks for listening!

about the bass......
sbj says turn it up, Aloysius says turn it down.... take both those comments and average them out = the bass is just right. haha
anyway, i checked it on the frequency analyzer and it is indeed a tad loud in the balance of things as shown: The yellow line shows the (in the perfect world) the ideal frequency spectrum balance.
the green bars indicate for the most part, you are spot on. but the thin red "Average" line
shows peaks where the bass is excessive. As a bass lover, it doesn't really bother
me much.... but in the perfect world..... well, you know...

Wow! Thanks for the analyze it! I don't check my song with kind of this tool. Always deciding with my ears and my monitors.layzer wrote:about the bass......

I surely know that people have difference in the taste and color.
So, someone says adds more! but other guy says reduce it!
And of course, someone likes my song but other guy feels it's not cup of tea.
Haha that's why the "music" is so fun.

Great track Hidenori!
Love how you have done this 'live' so to speak. As someone else says it sounds very open yet the sounds are very full.
Top beats and composition.
Well done!
