Hi,
Does anyone know of an effect that allows
A. Pitch-shifting each tap in equal step (delay), or/and
B. Continuous pitch-shifting of the wet output, up to some point (reverb).

Box, pedal or plugin :-)
I can do this with tools that involve bouncing (even Absynth) but would like to see it realtime.
Mac, Ableton Live, various plugs and some outboard.

In case you use LogicX, Delay Designer is probably exactly what you're looking for, but you could easily build something yourself in Melda's MXXX.

If you want it for the famous "shimmer" effect, you can build it in any host that allows feedback routing (REAPER does).

Hey guys,
not exactly spot on yet, but I'll look into the stuff your proposed.
Probably need to invest some time in demo versions.
Übermod looks übercool! I liked some other stuff from the Valhallers :)

BTW, I know Delay Designer would be perfect for the rising-pitch delay.
But I kind of stopped using Logic. Plus, the most 'important' effect right now, is the rising reverb. I'm imagining these single chord stabs drenched in a rich reverb where wet audio pitch rises. Like I mentioned, I've tried pitching rendered wet audio, but the pitch shifter was too coarse and the result was less than smooth to be honest. + the fact I'd prefer it to be real-time, makes it easier to tweak and experiment.

Thanks for the tips!
Cheers;

Hey mutant!
Thing is, I dont just want parallel pitch-shifted audio.
I want to hear the glide, so the shifting has to be really smooth.

PitchedDelay is a delay that allows the pitching the delayed signal. This can be done within or outside the feedback loop.

Hmm... REAPERs pitch shifting algorightms are top quality, but IDK if automating/modulating the shift amount would sound good.
Is there any audio example of that effect on Youtube you could link for us to hear ? :)

I think EchoBode does this as well

Hmmm no, only does frequency shifting, not pitch. Very cool plugin though!

Also, for reverbs, I can second the ValhallaShimmer suggestion.

MTurboReverb can do pitch shifted reverb. It can either do it statically, where everything is shifted up and octave for example or it can constantly shift everything up, so the sound is constantly rising.
