Long time no music out there. While mixing something else I came across a thread on Linux Musicians about collaboration, with a new branch of the forum being created: Virtual Music Projects. So I picked a project almost purely by coincidence and submitted it for collaboration that is, if anyone is interested. It's also very fine if no-one is. And so as such, I thought of sharing it here also - any comments welcomed.

'test-jam112' is an improvisation. The purpose is only to give an overview of what it could be. It's barely mixed. The context is smooth, perhaps even ambient, with acoustic guitars and long synths.

Mixbus32C v4 was used. A tiny bit of EQ here and there, some MB compression, Presswerk on the master bus + spectrum compressor. The original improvisation was done in Bitwig, clip launcher mode (1 scene only).

It's enjoyable and relaxing ambient music but maybe it needs a little more development. Possibably some lead or other sounds here and there. It reminds me a little of Brian Eno's Another Green World.

It sounds quite nice.

Thanks ! Yes, there's no development (and virtually no mixing nor mastering). It currently stands as an improvisation. In Bitwig terms, thsi is only 1-scene in the clip launcher. Maybe some people will be interested in a co-operation to develop it further...

Cheers.

just a sweet, tasty little something.

Thanks. Although I wouldn't classify it as a tune, yet. It's put out there mainly to see if people would be interested in a collaboration to work on it.

Which makes me think, is there a section of KVR dedicated for collaborative work ?
