I get the same result as well: no effect on volume. Mind you, using -> O1 Amplitude *does* affect the volume. Other mod destinations work, as well. - m ---- Markleford's band, The James Rocket: http://www.TheJamesRocket.com/ Markleford's tracks: http://www.markleford.com/music/ Markleford's free MFX, DXi2, DR-008 modules: http://www.TenCrazy.com/ |

Quote: Its working here. Mind you one thing, the Envelope does a positive value, not like an LFO output. So if your O1 volume is set to 1 (max), you won't be able to modulate it. Set to 0 instead. This way you can use the Envelope to O1 Volume modulation.
I finally understand what you meant by that: I was somehow translating it in my brain to mean that a Mod Dest of "Volume" was actually controlling the S level in ADSR! I also just took the quick tour of the FK presets: a lot of great stuff in there. - m ---- Markleford's band, The James Rocket: http://www.TheJamesRocket.com/ Markleford's tracks: http://www.markleford.com/music/ Markleford's free MFX, DXi2, DR-008 modules: http://www.TenCrazy.com/ |

Key RND First doesn't seem to work for me: no change at all. I'm guessing that you're relying on a literal "All Notes Off" (CC#123) message, as it seems to randomize fine when I "fake" such a message in my input stream.
While some keyboards (such as my old Kawai K1) do transmit All Notes Off, I don't think you can rely solely on that (my Edirol doesn't use it, for example, and I use that most of the time in front of the PC). If you could put a "note counter" into your code that increments on Note On and decrements on Note Off, then you should be able to randomize when it reaches zero again. But I'm not telling you anything you didn't already know. - m ---- Markleford's band, The James Rocket: http://www.TheJamesRocket.com/ Markleford's tracks: http://www.markleford.com/music/ Markleford's free MFX, DXi2, DR-008 modules: http://www.TenCrazy.com/ |
