where do i go to find the 2 sets of drum loops in waveform 9? i tried to change the path to where they were going to be downloaded, but gave up and let them go to the default. but now i can't find them in the program. any ideas?

Post

Did you run the installer once it downloaded?
If so and the loops have been installed to disk, W9 should pick them up when you start the app. Check in the "File Locations" -> "Loop Database" Settings page to see if they're listed there.

thanks! can i have them show in the browser also?

Post

You can view them in the file browser and the Track Loops (mixed previews) should appear in the Search browser.
Because there are 24 files per sample (and sometimes these are near silent due to mic placement) we don't put these in the Search browser.

thanks!

they showed up under presets. is that where theyre supposed to be?

Post

That's where the Track Loops (mixdown versions) are supposed to be.

Post

i'm confused.. so they're not like loops like in my loop library? as in acidized loops, wav files?

Post

yes, it is clearly confusing ...

drow is speaking of track loops, but they are stored as track-presets.
this is why you find it under presets.
track presets are a new feature of w9.
it is convenient this way, because it gives you options you would not have without them being track presets.

@dave: it would be much clearer if someone asks where to find the track loops, to point to the "preset" category
