I love what this does to the sound, excellent!

One thing though, I've just downloaded v1.5 and I much prefer the look of v1.1 that I had previously! The blue just seems to take away from the colour and character (cold looking).

Thanks for making my music sound better.

hi. great work

yes..a brickwall limiter at the end of the sound chain would be really cool... for not letting the signal clip and maximize the audio. most mastering plugs have this feature.

thanks for what you have alaredy offered Very Happy

1. add a simple brickwall behind the complete signal chain ?

Like a Soft clip isnt?

well, i`m assuming that the signal chain goes from up to down.
so, say, i use a bd.
this bd is leveled exactly to 0db.
say, i only use the stardust wideband compressor.
i leave the attack open a bit, to preserve the transients, to get that smack, that stardust does so good.
i compress the signal, the signal (of course) gets, audible only of course, a bit quieter.
now, if i raise the output of the compressor, the signal overshoots.
the more i rise, the more it overshoots, up to 6db, cubase and logic tell me.
i`d like to be able to push that compressed signal against a 0db brickwall, finding an average level, sill conserving the transients a bit, but having the guarantee of not overshooting.
this is very handy when the bd i.e. is played repetive faster, as the bd length is.
i know i can give the sampler only 1 voice, but sometimes that "clicks". theese clicks also overshoot.
theese clicks, however, are not really disturbing me, but the overshoots do, as i have to lower every signal accordingly, if no brickwall allowes me to push the loudest signal in the mix (wich is the bd).
so the mix summary cannot be leveled as desired, therefor one has to compress/limit/master the sum harder, which affects all the other signals in the mix, too ... or do i miss something?
thats why i was begging you.
i didn`t mean no harm at all.
i know its free, so i dont really have the right to bother you.
so, just let me know if you maybe find the time to implement it.
that would be very kind. Embarassed
again, thank you for this great plugin!

kind regards,

OK if I get the meaning of what you describe, you experience in stardust the lack of brickwall+shaping. right ?
or is it also a matter of not being able to weigh differently the bands in the multiband stage ?

exactly. Smile
is there a possibility to implement this?
this is the only feature i miss exept the possibility to turn off every unused section (while i assume that the "turned off" state is reached by simply leaving the given parameters to zero, so this may be out of discussion of course Smile )

well, Stardust will be enhanced in future, and there will also be a commercial version. But this is very far ahead!

So meanwhile,
- use a brickwall+shaping broadband compressor that you chain at the output of Stardust : this will give you the exact result that you want.
- to "bypass" a stage, do the following :
* Bass/Treble enhancers : phase rotator=off, gain=0
* stereo enhancer : wide coef=0
* compressors : in/out gains=0, ratio=1:1 and/or threshold=0

hope this helps =)

that`s what i did up to now, of course Very Happy .
please consider this enhancement though.
and please let me know when it`s out (if you are doing it) Smile.

As Zaf wrote, (and on "popular demand"), a commercial version, full featured Stardust will come in a future, but i'm -EXTREMELLY BUSY- with DirectWave (FL/VST) and Aodix at the moment, so this will take a BIG while =).

Cya,

Argu

Arguru rocks! ... a great pro-quality plugin. Thank you so much. I'm using Psycle and it works fine.

Suggestion: What do you think about adding some useful presets to the pack?

yay i cant wait for an enhanced version. all i want is some disable buttons for the individual modules, but seeing as you posted the settings to 'bypass' them that will do for now.

thanks for the great plug!
