Nice (and unexpexted)reply hjack Well, for the time being, it's a bit early to disclose information about Voyager. What I'm sure about, is that is will NOT look like the photos |

Any chance on the synth being a bit more smaller? ---- "You are going to let the fear of poverty govern your life and your reward will be that you will eat, but you will not live." |

That synthesizer seems to be a total resource hook.
I am actually wondering, why nobody complained that until now. Can me someone explain, why it has 1024 VST parameters registered? I mean there are merely a few of them really used... And can me someone explain, why this synth occupies over 130 MEGABYTE of memory on load (and obviously recalculates the waveforms with each new instance - resulting in qiute heavy loading latency) ? I mean, it uses merely 4 different waves and some delay, but that dosn't explain, why it consumes a memory amount like a high quality Grand Piano Multi layer sample ... Althought the sound seems to be good. Merely tose other "features" above are actually irritating me heaviely. . |

so...any news on an updated skin?
although right now it looks like a BIG modular, and that might be a good approach ---- *TC* Camel Audio plugins (vst/au) Sound Design & Support AlgoMusic M42|M51| Tims Atari MIDI World |

I have been working on a new slightly smaller skin for Argu, but have been in the process of moving for the past couple of weeks, so have not been able to work on it. Hopefully by next week I'll get some more time to finish it up and get the elements over there.
In fact, I have been using basic modular rack synth components as the basis for the design look. Silver frame with dark grey inserts and moog-ish knobs. To conserve space, the readouts will no longer be beneath the controls, but will be located in a centralized "LCD" screen area. But all of the controls will still remain on one screen. I'll try to get some compiled pics soon. Right now i just have lots of frames of turning knobs and some background components. heheh later xero |

Yep, short for Arguru.
I just opened my png files here at work to remember where I was at before i had to start packing boxes. So far, if I can convince Arguru to put the vocoder and FX on a second panel, I can fit all of the main programming components on one page and fit it within 800 x 600 px... |

Could a "reskin" be accomplished with an FLstudio dashboard ?
If each knob in Voyager corresponds to a CC, then I think it is technically possible. The advantage is its trivially easy to set up and tweak; good way to prototype a more perminent GUI. The disadvantage is its FL only. But then, I think anyone can use a dashboard in the FL demo, to create patches. Once the patches are created, they can be used with the current (large) GUI in any host. |

It takes longer than any other synth i ave to load, but its a great freebie and has very low cpu usage/great sound so no complaints here. |
