As this seems to be going almost nowhere! How about a new os like Beos? No more Windows, just an audio os. If it had an audio engine the it could be a host too. |

Well Supercomputers are nothing more than multiple computers or CPU's clustered together, so I would think that a super synth would be a similar structure with a central control board. |

I was going to say Kyma too. But where did you get that quote from? I need a new music box... Just a quote from the supplier we use for all our PC boxen... ---- To laymen, software development is something akin to wizardry. Neither time, nor effort are involved. If software is missing features they want, or has bugs, it is solely because someone has been too lazy to wave their magic wand. |

I just want something that has image synthesis, scanned synthesis, vector synthesis, and FM synthesis, along with a comb filter and SVF filter, all in the same box. |

Quote: The most powerful synth ever? What would it do?
Hack my bank account and set it to +inf.0f euros, so i will not have to care about music, synthesizers or software anymore. |

A synth already exists that delivers just one or two voices, even though its running on an uber-computer...

If you want a serious post... I reckon that it would be a synth which could analyse a sample in any number of different ways and then reconstruct a sound by modulating the various 'parts' that it had extracted.. but all in realtime, of course, so that it could work as an effect as well as on static waves.. |

The perfect synth would play a freq that would undo womens bras without the need for all that fiddly stuff, and at the same time sound like a 303 |
