I still would say , that BGtech had a full plugin version of BGtech Compressor Pack. But somehow they stopped working on it ? Yes . it's really a great plugin.... |

quad bus two stereo child channels send to the second is the key send to the first is the compressor and it sounds good Yes, this works very well and easy but it has its disadvantage, because since this is an output bus you are at the end of the routing-chain (no more further routing possibilites to other groups etc.). |

eh - quad buses don't have to be outputs (in sx3 anyway)
so i am not sure what you mean |

so i am not sure what you mean I din't know that. I don't have SX3 (still SX2, sniff In SX2 you can only define In/Out-Busses as Quad-busses with child-busses. |

Are you sure you simply did make your quadbus the last bus on the list? If it's the last bus you can't route it to the previous ones. (Limitation due to the latency compensation)
Otherwise it can be routed to further busses. |

Otherwise it can be routed to further busses. Maybe you are right. I have to test it again tonight if routing a bus to another bus is possible. Do we still talk about busses, not groups ? |

i will try and make a sidechaining compressor in Max/pluggo that has a seperate plugin for the sidechain input. should be much simpler to use.

This doesn't work (at least in SX2). You can route groups to other groups, but not output-busses to other output-busses. Maybe there's an improvement in SX3. Anyway, I updated my (detailed) desription here: http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=72851 |
