you can download the demoversion here:
(either VST-Effect or VST-Instrument version)
http://www.prodyon.de/files/robocoder/robocoder_de mo_vst.zip
http://www.prodyon.de/files/robocoder/robocoder_de mo_vsti.zip
(both are around 15MB)

screenshot:
http://www.project-hurricane.de/robocoder2.jpg

about 1400 words already done.

so if you want to testdrive it, please let me know how good/bad it works!

known issues:
-latency introduced due to MDA´s FFT based vocoder

EDIT: use the lower keys to play the words (1-12) and the higher ones to apply a target pitch (or create singing/chords and stuff). a manual is included.

please let me know what you think!
thanks.

just had a quick play before i go watch sin city ...

observations ...

1 - nice idea overall and sweet GUI (if a little big)
2 - some (well TBH - quite a bit) of crackling and breakup on playback of samples (both those included and others i tried)
3 - big BIG CPU hit here ... hitting 40% on my 3.2GHz P4 (denormals ??? )

questions / FRs

1 - any way to restrict playback of samples to one-shots rather than looping them ??? .. would make construction of phrases much easier IMHO
2 - does the MDA talkbox license allow you to redistribute it as part of this package ???

1- ´k , will/should make it smaller Smile
2- not good... :/
3- yep, i know have to do some optimization!

1- thats in the pipe-line, yes. (looping on/off)
2- yep, have asked him months ago, he allowed me to! Smile

Hi Dennis,

nice little synthplug for the wilder side, I´d say.

as always great stuff from you.

I made a little demo on my first try with it

go to robodemo

and I didnt have problems with it so far I tried in eXT 1.3 only )

(when (random? )the sound fade is intended in the demo?????) or not? Wink

I have the crackles too, but I think they can be regarded as sound-FX Wink

cheers
Stephan

@rsmus7: good to hear that! *lol* that demo´s funkeee Cool
and yes, little volume dropout every 30secs - you know i´m strange Very Happy

btw: in your demo it sounds ok, these soft crackles are due to the mda engine and the brown noise for better understanding Wink
