MystSonic release Chinese Zither (Gu-Zeng) for Kontakt

9th December 2008

MystSonic has announced the release of Chinese Zither (Gu-Zeng) for Native Instruments' Kontakt.

Chinese Zither-GuZheng is an ancient Chinese plucking style instrument used since more than 2,500 years ago. It is different from the Japanese Koto in that it has more strings and sound range, and has a larger wooden body. Because of its classic wooden harmonic structure, its sound is similar to a harp, but has even more lucidity and clarity.

Instead of a Chinese style pentatonic scale, MystSonic developed Chinese Zither-GuZheng to be as playable a MIDI instrument as possible. You can play any musical scale or music style just on a MIDI keyboard by simply using note key to trigger tremolo start, and then using mod wheel to make tremolo motion changes, or add and select an additional control device to take control tremolo sound. You can also use the mod-wheel individually to trigger pick sound begin forward->backward->forward-> backward... and with MystSonic's Virtual Bending Pitch Wheel System each note pitch change can be modulated separately under the same track.

Features / details:

Chinese Zither-GuZheng is available now for €49.
