Impact Soundworks releases Shreddage: Electric Rhythm Guitar for Kontakt

Impact Soundworks has announced the release of Shreddage, a new electric guitar sample library for Kontakt oriented toward rock and metal rhythm playing. Created over the course of two years by producer Andrew Aversa, it is capable of reproducing almost any riff with accuracy, according to Impact Soundworks.

Shreddage features 24-bit / 44.1 Khz multisamples (not loops) mapped using a unique left hand / right hand, velocity-controlled setup that does not require the use of special MIDI CCs or scripting. The instrument was recorded direct-in and at 8 round-robins for all crucial articulations, such as sustains, powerchords, palm mutes, fast mutes, half mutes, pinch squeals, slides and more.

The library features Bb tuning for dark and heavy riffs along with double-tracked patches and virtual amp sim presets (Guitar Rig 4, Overloud TH-1, Amplitube 2, Amplitube Metal, Line6 Podfarm) to get the user started with making killer tones. A scripted interface is also included to control envelopes and tone right from the Kontakt interface.
