Version 2.0 of MHC's formant synthesizer Voxynth has been available as a VST plugin for Windows and Mac OS X for a while but they have also now released the AudioUnit version.

Changes:

• New GUI.
• Improved sound engine.
• 256 presets (the 64 patches from version 1.5 and 192 new ones).
• 18 new formant filter modes, including complex state formant filters, alternating and quantized formant filter modes, a random mode, etc.

Voxynth 2.0 is part of the Studio Setup plugin bundle, which costs $89. 30 day trial versions are available.
