8Dio announces "Hybrid Tools 2" and Crowd-Based "Free Radicals" for Kontakt
6th August 2012

8Dio has announced the imminent release of two new Kontakt-format sound libraries: Hybrid Tools 2 and Free Radicals.

8Dio describes Hybrid Tools Vol. 2 as "the next evolution in contemporary musical sound design. A tool created for both composers and sound designers."

They continue: "Just ask yourself this... Next-gen Mega-Horns? Check. Psychological Signature Sounds that burns in your brainstem? Check. Insanely Big Taiko rolls to help augment percussive cues? Check baby. Those super trendy Dubstep Trailer FX? Of course. And what about next-gen wooshes, risers and slamming hits? Yes! Did you also do more dark and cursed type of FX for dark scoring and horror/thriller trailers? Oh - you have NO idea! What about Hybrid Drones, Noises and lots of cool surprises? Yes! Even things like taking roaring vintage race cars and making them sound like super-bad mofos? Totally!"

Hybrid Tools Vol. 2 will be released Friday 10th of August, 2012, with pricing to be announced.

8Dio Free Radicals is described as a new type of sample library, which was developed in collaboration with over 100 members of 8Dio's community. 8Dio developed 50% of the library and the other half was developed by the community. Fr33 Radicals has taken several months to get together. They say "The library is hands down THE most disturbing and dark thing we have ever heard. We talking srs dark sonic gold!"

The library contains over one thousand different musical sound designs that are classified in categories such as: "viral ambiences", "bacterial hits", "parasitical risers" and others dystopian categories.

Everybody who submitted will receive the library one week before it goes public - and have a chance to have their demo hosted as a part of the product and be promoted to thousands of producers and composers.

Free Radicals will be released later this month.
