KissBox releases "VSTizer Basic" - free RTP-MIDI virtual port in VST plugin format for Win & Mac

5th April 2013

KissBox has announced the introduction of VSTizer Basic, a new member of the VSTizer family.

VSTizer Basic is a virtual RTP-MIDI port, creating a bridge over a RTP-MIDI link between a sequencer track (or more generally any VST host), and a remote RTP-MIDI device.

As a VSTi, it receives all MIDI events created in the host, and forwards them to the remote RTP-MIDI device. In the other direction, all MIDI events received from the RTP-MIDI device are forwarded to the host. It does not use any native MIDI resources of the host system (lifting then limitations in number of ports in hosts like Akai MPC Studio and MPC Renaissance systems), does not need any driver, and can be instantiated as many times as needed in the same project, to add unlimited number of MIDI ports.

The plugin can be instantiated multiple times in the same project.

VSTizer Basic is available for free, on Mac and Windows platforms, in form of a VST 2.4 plugin.
