Soundiron releases "Voice Of Gaia: Strawberry" - Female solo vocal library for Kontakt featuring the voice of Linda Strawberry

Soundiron has released Voice Of Gaia: Strawberry, a professional solo mezzo-soprano female vocal library featuring vocalist Linda Strawberry Coloma. This 5.4 GB collection features flexible multi-sampled true legato, sustain and staccato vowels in a streamlined control interface, along with thousands of fully customizable live melodic phrases with an adaptive phrase sequencer.

Known for her work with Zwan, Smashing Pumpkins, Curt Smith, Spirits in the Sky and numerous other collaborations and solo projects, Linda's voice has a intense, dynamic and expressive quality that makes her ideal for cinematic scoring, EDM, alternative rock, dreampop, industrial and ethnic/world music.

The True Legato "Ah" sustains were captured using the long-form solo method for greater quality and realism. There are two sustain modes available: infinite looping w/release triggers or natural decayed release. The legato system allows 3-voice polyphonic melodies in real-time, along with a plethora of fine-tuning parameters. The library also includes standard sustains and staccatos for Ah(p), Ah(f), Mm, Oh(p), Oh(f) and Oo vowels. This chromatic content spans a playable key range of over 2 octaves, with total performance controls. There are also whisper sustains, whisper staccatos, laughing, coughing, breathing, sweeps, swells and other vocal effects and sfx.

Voice Of Gaia: Strawberry also includes an extensive range of improvised melodic phrases. There are unique collections for four different tempos: 80, 100, 120 and 140 BPM, with sub-groups rooted in the keys of A#, C, D, E, F# and G# (bonus keys of F and G are available for 80 BPM as well), covering a variety of modes and scales. With over 2500 phrases, the phrase content explores a wide range of styles from ethnic to blues and soul. There is also a bonus ambient section that features vocal material that has been contorted into a variety of organic sound-scapes, drones, atmospheres and pads.

The library was recorded in a dry environment with two different styles of large diaphragm studio condenser microphones that can be independently mixed, panned and loaded/unloaded. The GUI features integrated waveform display for the currently playing sample, with interactive sample start and end sliders, as well as intensity, attack, release, pitch, time-stretching / synching, microphone settings and other shaping and tuning features. Each interactive control allows multiple workflows to serve the needs of each user, with customizable key-switches, GUI knobs & switches and CC/host automation support for many features. Each preset also includes a full Multi-FX rack panel with Chorus, Compression, Distortion, Amp and Cab simulation, EQ, Delay and Reverb, featuring 70 custom rooms, chambers, halls, cathedrals, tunnels and special FX convolution impulses.
