Sample Tools by Cr2 releases "EDM Festival Kicks + Drops" Sample Pack
24th February 2014
Here's what they say: "Our aim is to bring the label's reputation for quality forward thinking dance music into the sample pack world. This is the label that brought you Fedde le Grand's "Put Your Hands Up For Detroit" and Chuckie's "Let the Bass Kick in Miami Bitch" amongst others. Our ethos is to provide top quality hits, loops, fx, MIDI files and patches from your favourite DAWs and plugins as well as production techniques through bundled video tutorials and booklets provided with each pack."
This first pack is from Cr2's in-house mixing and mastering engineer Larry Holcombe aka Endemix who has produced packs for some of the biggest sample pack companies.
Built for the mainstage, this pack contains over 580MB of audio and includes heavy basslines, huge layered kick drums, hands in the air synth leads and hooks, larger than life drum loops and epic FX spread over 15 "killer drops" all key-labelled for easy mixing and matching. Every melodic part is available as a MIDI equivalent to make changing sounds or editing melodies a breeze. There are 100 key-labelled punchy and low end owning kick drums and there are over 25 minutes of video tips and tricks from the producer allowing you gain access to the techniques behind these sounds. There is also a booklet packed with even more production tips and tricks.
100 kicks have been generated through a variety of synthesis, layering and processing techniques to produce kicks impossible to generate through one source alone. The drops for the most part contain a synth hook, buildup and drop. Packed full of tension and release, these are all in key labelled folders to make it as easy as possible to combine sounds. Ideas range from stripped back mainroom workouts and sun drenched EDM festival anthems to Melbourne bounce influenced vibes.
