Deskew Technologies updates Gig Performer to v1.6 - Audio plug-in host for live performers

12th May 2017

Deskew Technologies has released version 1.6 of the Gig Performer plug-in host for live performers.

Gig Performer 1.6, available for both OS X and Windows, adds support for MIDI clock synchronization so that loaded plugins can respond not only to Tap Tempo but also to tempo changes controlled by a DAW or an external workstation.

They have also added a knob that controls the overall volume of Gig Performer and features a complete absence of remote control and ability to remember previous values. It's intended solely as an emergency override in those live situations where a user needs to temporarily increase or reduce output levels to handle unusual PA situations. As well as scaling, note velocities can now also be constrained (limited) to specified ranges.

Audio interface handling has been significantly improved and all known issues with ASIO interface selection (Windows) have been fixed.

Gig Performer customers are now also eligible for a $25 discount for the purchase of Rogue Amoeba's Loopback, an OS X application for creating virtual audio interfaces allowing audio to be routed among multiple applications. See this blog article for more information.

Various other enhancements and optimizations are included.

A fully-functional 14-day trial version of Gig Performer is available here.
