15th May 2006

ModernBeats has released Vintage Machinez 2, the sequel to its Vintage Machinez Sample Library, offering users a "21st century design of all old drum machine classics" divided into 3 major categories for quick loading and ease of use. Categories include newly remastered Mono versions, plus unique Stereo and "Xtreme" versions specifically geared for Hip Hop's Bounce, Dirty South, and Crunk styles.

Vintage Machinez 2 contains 39 different kits carrying a total of 1,056 samples. Each kit is arranged into presets for easy loading into all major software samplers. Native formats include HALion, EXS24, Kontakt, Battery, Reason's NN-XT, SF2, and Wav.

Drum machines featured include:

A list of samples include kicks, sub kicks, snares, claps, rims, closed hats, open hats, ride cymbals, crash cymbals, wide variety of toms, congos, bongos, guidos, shakers, cabasa, tambourines, bells, timbales, tablas, cowbells, claves, woodblocks, wood sticks, tympani, digital blips, laser zaps, explosion, and many other exotic percussion sounds.

ModernBeats' Vintage Machinez software sampler presets give users control over velocity, duration, pitch, and all other user-defined parameters - such programmed features go far beyond the capabilities of the original hardware machines. Additionally, each kit contains identical layouts for all Mono, Stereo, and Xtreme versions, giving users the ability to swap any sample version for another within a sequence.

Vintage Machinez 2 is available as a download, or can be ordered on CD-ROM; prices start at $29.95.
