Safwan Matni has released Kamanjat, a middle Eastern Strings Module, with an Amplitude Envelope Generator, Quarter Tone control, and bend range control. It produces a "thick strings sound" used for backgrounds in middle eastern music.

Kamanjat is available as a VSTi for Windows and it is free.
